Dr. Chen is a board-certified ophthalmologist who treats comprehensive ophthalmology as well as uveitis, or inflammation in the eye. She also offers cataract surgery, including standard and premium intraocular lenses.
Dr. Chen grew up in the small town of Yellow Springs, Ohio with her parents and brother. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. During her undergraduate studies, she also studied medical Spanish in Costa Rica in order to be able to cater to a wider population of patients during her medical career. She stayed in Cincinnati to obtain her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She then moved to Chicago, Illinois where she completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center. During her last year of residency, she was elected to serve as Chief Resident. Upon graduating, she received the Harvey Z. Klein Award for demonstrating exemplary patient care. She then pursued a fellowship in Uveitis and Intraocular Inflammation at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Chen then moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 2019 and began working at Ophthalmology Associates. She is proud to be a part of DFW’s largest comprehensive ophthalmology practice working alongside all of our wonderful eye doctors who have been honored to serve this community for half a century.
In her free time, Dr. Chen enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She is married and has two children.
Dr. Chen is currently accepting patients at our Summit, Cityview, and Hurst locations.
