November 6 – 12, 2011 - Ophthalmology Associates invites you to join us in recognizing our Ophthalmic Technicians and their contribution to eye care.
FORT WORTH, TEXAS -
Ophthalmic Technicians improve the delivery and quality of eye care and
are crucial members of the eye care team. The role of Ophthalmic
Technicians is constantly evolving; technicians are now involved in almost every
aspect of helping run an ophthalmic practice.
Ophthalmic Technicians’ Week is a combined effort of the Joint Commission
on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO®) and the
Association of Technical Personnel in Ophthalmology, Inc. (ATPO®). One week
out of the year has been designated to recognize Ophthalmic Technicians
and their contribution to eye care and to make the public more aware of the eye
care career.
The occupation Ophthalmic Technician encompasses all three levels of JCAHPO
Certification; Certified Ophthalmic Assistant, Certified Ophthalmic Technician, and
Certified Medical Ophthalmic Technician.
Ophthalmology Associates is proud to say that we employ over 40 Ophthalmic Technicians to assist in the care of your eyes.
