Dr. Nair joined Ophthalmology Associates in 2010. He is committed to delivering excellence in glaucoma care for his patients in Fort Worth and Weatherford. Dr. Nair grew up in a mix of cities including Detroit, Waco, Alabama, and south India. “During medical school I was part of an ophthalmology interest group and I had a wonderful mentor who inspired me to join the field of ophthalmology.” Upon graduation from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, he pursued his ophthalmology residency at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. He had the privilege of being trained there by many distinguished leaders in ophthalmology. After his general training, he completed a glaucoma subspecialty fellowship under Dr. Jon Ruderman in Chicago. Dr. Nair has enjoyed his practice thus far since returning to Texas. He offers cataract/ lens implant surgery as well as the latest treatments for glaucoma including laser treatment for high eye pressure and incisional surgery for advanced glaucoma.

“Glaucoma is a poorly understood disease; my goal is to educate my patients and provide them with the best care to defend against blindness. Every year we learn something new about glaucoma and it is an exciting time to practice in this field.“ Dr. Nair is board certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is active with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. He is involved with the UT Southwestern Medical Center glaucoma fellowship education at John Peter Smith hospital and has volunteered for BAPS charities in Irving. He recently got married and enjoys travelling, basketball and independent movies.
